Our principals, Carl Hagood and Stephen Gamble have more than 80 years combined experience in interior design, space planning, project management, furniture procurement and installation.
Stephen Gamble founded CBI, Inc. February 2001 with a vision to bring the contract furniture marketplace the most professional and finest quality contract furniture dealership. Establishing an impeccable report with clients and providing exceptional customer service has been the main focus of CBI, Inc.
Mr. Gamble attended Morehouse College and brings years of industry experience to CBI, Inc. projects and operations. Prior to the inception of CBI, Mr. Gamble spent 13 years with a major contract furniture dealership. His significant experience with manufactures such as Knoll and Allsteel has laid the foundation to effectively manage large projects, most notably: City of Atlanta Tower, Annex, Spelman Cosby Center and Dougherty County Department of Human Resources. He has assisted in the creation of the furniture standards program at JVC Company of America, Medical College of Georgia, H. J. Russell & Company, and Syncor International. Under the leadership of Stephen Gamble, CBI, Inc. has been able to embody the vision of professionalism and the undying need to cater to the client.
Chairman of the Board/CEO
Carl Hagood shares Mr. Gamble’s vision and brings the experience to make that vision a reality. Educated at the Illinois Institute of Technology and Atlanta Academy of Professional Arts, Mr. Hagood has extensive experience in the fields of design/project management and installation. He has worked with many of Atlanta’s top design firms.
For 13 years, Mr. Hagood was President and CEO of a contract furniture service firm with offices in Atlanta and Washington D.C. offering furniture and artwork installation, furniture repair, warehousing and asset management to corporate and government clients. He joined CBI at its inception and has helped to position the firm as one of the fastest growing furniture dealers in the contract furniture industry.
Director of Marketing
Mr. Hassan Hagood, Operations Manager and Director of Marketing, joined the firm in 2005 as a marketing executive and project manager. Mr. Hassan Hagood attended Emory University where he majored in business information systems. Mr. Hagood has successfully project managed million dollar projects for the firm and managed multi-year contracts with implementations covering a national territory. He has been instrumental in acquiring and retaining relationships with the Federal Aviation Authority, GA Department of Human Services, and MARTA.
Ms. Cheryl Madison, Office Manager, has a BA in Accounting from Cleveland State University, and actively maintained her Ohio CPA license for many years. Ms. Madison has over 20 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Project Management in the public and private sector. She is responsible for Accounting, Project Administration, Billing and managing the office on a day-to-day basis.
Ms. Pam Johnson joined CBI, Inc. in 2020. Ms. Johnson attended Albany State University where she majored in Business Education. Ms. Johnson brings eighteen years of outside sales with the State of Georgia. She managed multi-million dollar new construction and renovation furnishing projects within metro Atlanta and Middle GA areas. Ms. Johnson remains focused on customer satisfaction, record-setting sales, territory expansion, and new account development.
Ms. Whitney Markray has a BS in Interior Design from the University of Alabama. Whitney has a trained eye for quality, furnishings, and textiles. She has designed prominent residential, commercial & corporate interiors. She is responsible for designing innovative, functional & aesthetically pleasing interiors for an array of different projects daily.
